Inspiring a Love for Lifelong Learning
ECO Committee
Spelthorne Borough Council Eco Conference
Annually six KS2 children are invited to take part in the Eco Conference held at Spelthorne Council offices. Here our child meet with and learn from Phil Williams environmentalist, along with several other Spelthorne schools. During these worthwhile sessions, children are able to see the destruction of the rainforests, meet Phil's 'other tribe family', and have the opportunity to experience first hand numerous rainforest artefacts, that explains the fragility of this particular ecosystem. We also met with Katie from Wastebusters who spoke to our children about pollution, the steps being taken by Surrey to improve our county, recycling of plastics and each child received a goody bag of recycled items to bring their new learning to life.
