Inspiring a Love for Lifelong Learning

Just wear BLUE and say 'NO' to bullies!

At APPS we say 'NO' to bullies!

This autumn term has been a busy term to saying 'NO' to all types of bullying behaviour. On 3rd October 2017, Year 5 and 6 reviewed our 'Anti-bullying' school policy, with support from Wendy from Kidscape. For photographs of our learning, please see the Gallery. Unfortunately only 7 parents/carers were able to come to the after school workshop, but this is hopefully better than NONE!

We also had a 'Wear Blue' day on Friday 10th November, and every member of our school was provided with a blue wrist band to help us to remember to always be kind and to think of others www.bullying.co.uk.

Four of our teachers received two days of 'intensive training', on a new behaviour system called 'The Thrive' on 20th and 21st November 2017 and will be helping us with our behaviour for learning throughout this year.

We're looking forward to learning from the 'Firehorse Theatre' on the 29th January 2018, when this company puts on their 'Just Joshing' production, all about being kind and caring and how our actions can sometimes be perceived as being unkind, even if we didn't intend them to be!

On February 9th 2018, staff at the school will also be receiving training on 'Enough Abuse', which is all about on-line bullying and grooming.
