Bridgebuilder Work Experience 2018!
UPS and Enterprise welcome our Bridgebuilder children and their 1:1 mentors!
Bridge Builder Work Experience Mentoring Days at Enterprise and UPS
On Wednesday 31st January I went on a trip to UPS at Feltham to visit our Mentor’s workplace. Unfortunately one of us was ill so they missed the trip. I met my Mentor Ru, who is an Arsenal fan in the meeting room. There were fruit and biscuits and water and we were allowed to have them. I learnt that there is a lot more jobs to go through in one delivery. There were other schools who also came along. We also learnt about marketing, safety and HR. We got to try out a driving simulator with a driving wheel and pedals. We also got to eat lunch at their canteen. At the end we got given two goody bags each and asked some questions to my Mentor, then we left. I really enjoyed this chance to visit a real workplace!

On Friday 2nd February most of the children taking part in the Bridge Builders Mentoring Programme went to Enterprise House, Egham to visit their Mentors place of work. It was really good fun. We arrived at 10am and met our Mentors in the meeting room. My Mentor is Hannah and she was very funny. We got to talk about Enterprise and ask questions about the things we wanted to know about. After we had our snacks we went on a scavenger hunt with our Mentors. After our scavenger hunt we talked about our dream job, 20 minutes later we had lunch. We also got to sit in a Porsche and have an ice-cream. Then we got to have a look around the building, but before that we met the 'BIG BOSS' and asked him loads of questions. We got to see our Mentors desk and asked what they did. Afterwards we got a goody bag, said thank you and went back to school. It was the best trip ever, mostly because we had ice-cream and sat in a Porsche (just kidding!)
