Closing the Vocabulary Gap - INSET

We were delighted to work with and learn from Alex Quigley, author of 'Closing the Vocabulary Gap'

Ashford Park was extremely proud to welcome colleagues from two schools in Sheffield and schools from the Spelthorne Schools Together Confederation (Riverbridge, Echelford and Saxon), to learn together with Alex Quigley, Senior Associate of the Dissemination and Impact Team at the Education Endowment Foundation.

Of the attending schools, we all agreed that the golden thread to highly effective learning, is language acquisition through closing the vocabulary gap.

All staff greatly enjoyed their day and the opportunity to work collaboratively for the benefit of the children at all of our schools.

Thank you Alex and thank you colleagues.
