Celebration of learning!
This half term, the children have been designing and making their own animal puppets in D&T. They all challenged themselves to sew two pieces of felt material together using a running stitch. The children had great fun seeing their designs come to life.
We went on our school trip to the London Zoo, as part of our science topic, Animals, including humans. We were able to identify the animals we saw by the five different animal groups. We also identified whether the animals were herbivores, carnivores or omnivores.
In PSHE, our topic has been 'Dreams and Goals'. As part of this learning, we had to set ourselves a goal and consider the steps we would take to achieve this goal. We were set the task of creating our own 'stretchy flower', developing our resilience when achieving a challenging goal. We also worked in pairs to design our own welly boot, learning how to work collaboratively to achieve a common goal.
