If you would like to apply for a place for your child to join our Reception classes (children aged 4 - 5) at Ashford Park Primary School for September 2022, please be advised that the Surrey CC website opens for admissions from 1st NOVEMBER 2021 with the window closing for applications on 15th JANUARY 2022.

During these continuing uncertain times, we are carefully monitoring how we can help to keep us all safe at school when inviting visitors to join us for our regular face to face tours.

School tours at Ashford Park

You are warmly invited to visit Ashford Park on either Tuesday 5th October at 4.15pm or on Thursday 11th November at 6.00pm to enjoy a tour of our school. Each tour is expected to take approximately an hour, and we shall walk and talk as we visit each year group.

We will be conducting tours for up to sixty people in groups of ten, accompanied by senior leaders, head girls, head boys and prefects. Staff will be available in the classrooms to talk through the teaching and learning that takes place at Ashford Park and to answer any questions that you may have.

Your school aged child is very welcome to join us.

To book a particular date and time, please call our office team on 01784 250305 who can answer any questions that you may have. Please be advised that all tours must be booked, and we politely ask that you bring a face covering with you, as we will be visiting classrooms and meeting children and staff.

We hope that the following video below provides a snapshot of our great school:

We have loved welcoming our Reception children who have settled confidently and happily this September.

In reception at Ashford Park Primary School, our aims are:

  • to support children in making a confident transition into school
  • to provide a happy, caring and safe learning environment
  • to plan learning experiences that meet the individual needs and interests of every child through a balanced provision of adult-led and child-initiated opportunities
  • to support children to become confident and competent learners so that they are able to reach their potential
  • to provide a broad and balanced high-quality curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance
  • to foster positive home school links with parents and carers

To aid this truly unique transition during these uncertain times of COVID-19, we have a produced several presentations, which will provide you with more information about our school, how the Reception classes 'function', our shared expectations, and hopefully answer many of your  questions.

Development Matters in the EYFS is a document that provides Guidance to ensure that we deliver high standards of early education and care that supports the development of every child. These principles underpin all future learning by supporting and fostering the children’s personal, social and emotional wellbeing. It encourages positive attitudes and dispositions towards learning, and promotes learning through play.
