COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS - TERM TIME (monitoring / responses will not be made during the weekend, school holiday periods, National Bank Holidays or INSET).

Communication methods

School will endeavour to respond:

Telephone calls:

Within 48 hours of receiving a telephone call.


Email read response within 48 hours: (attendance) (for day to day school queries) (for governor queries) Governor web page

Year group emails for queries re Google Classroom


Written letter:

Acknowledge receipt of letter within 72 hours.

School and governor office hours for ALL communications are 08:45 to 15:30.

Teachers with class responsibility, will endeavour to return telephone conversations at the end of the school day. Please be advised that mutually convenient appointment times can also be arranged through the school office to take place at the end of the school day.

If you have a concern or worries, please use the following procedure:

In the first instance, please contact your child’s class teacher to make a mutually convenient appointment either face to face or over the telephone. At this stage, most concerns are resolved.  However, if you feel the issue is not resolved, then please contact the school office to arrange an appointment with the next member of staff on the list below in the order given: 1 - 6 below.
