Acorn Centre (Specialist Centre for Learning and Additional Needs)
The Acorn Centre is a specialist centre for children with Communication and Interaction Needs (COIN) (EYFS & KS1) and Learning Difficulties/Learning and Additional Needs (LD & LAN) (KS2). We currently have 25 primary aged children on roll receiving specific learning support in our Acorn Centre and inclusive provision within our mainstream setting.
PLEASE NOTE: the decision around a LAN special school or specialist centre will depend on whether the child will benefit from mainstream teaching alongside their mainstream peers.
Please click below for details of the Surrey County Council arrangements for applying for an Acorn Specialist Centre place for a child with an EHCP and how to apply:
"Pupils in the Acorn Centre make outstanding progress because of high-quality teaching."
