Ofsted, 2018.

I am Sarah Tarrant, the exceptionally proud head teacher of Ashford Park Primary School and I would like to extend a warm welcome and thank you for visiting this site which introduces our wonderful school.

Our mission statement of 'Inspiring a love for lifelong learning', through our aims of 'Achieving Potential Producing Success', encapsulates all that we stand for, through exciting, engaging and challenging teaching and learning opportunities for your child.

Ashford Park is a large, growing, yet happy and friendly school, where everyone matters. We aim to provide the very best education for all of the children in our care, by contributing to their wellbeing, intellectual, physical, social and emotional development, working in partnership with you, our parents, our carers and our community. Our children are our richest resource and we seek to foster a love for lifelong learning. We know that education empowers a child to make informed choices about their life and guides their future.

At Ashford Park, we actively promote hard work, hold high expectations and support engagement through our curriculum, which encourages your children to build resilience and satisfaction with their learning. We hope that during your child's time with us, they enjoy coming to school, learn to like themselves and others and develop a love for lifelong learning. As a parent or carer, we want to work in partnership with you, concerning all aspects of school life. We endeavour to create a caring and positive atmosphere, to enable highly effective relationships with your child at the heart of all that we do at our school, supporting them to make the most of their childhood years.

We hope that our website provides a flavour of what Ashford Park is all about.  If you would like to find out more, please do not hesitate to call us on 01784 250305 for an appointment to visit. We hold open sessions in October, November and January each year for new reception parents. Please check our Calendar of events or contact the school for these dates to book a slot to visit us.

I continue to be excited to come to work every day, whilst in in my eleventh year as the Head Teacher of this thriving, and caring school; with supportive and dedicated staff, governors and parents and I look forward to welcoming you to Ashford Park Primary School in the near future.
