School Improvement Priorities:
Priority 1: To further improve the quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment so that children are fully engaged in their learning and are meeting their potential.
Priority 2: The consistent use of summative assessment to enable the accurate tracking of progress and attainment for all learners across the curriculum.
Priority 3: To diminish the difference between the achievement of Disadvantaged pupils and All Others.
Priority 4: To improve the achievement of all learners in Maths.
Priority 5: To improve achievement in English Reading and Writing.
Priority 6: To continue to develop Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare throughout the school.
Priority 7: Leadership and Management, Capacity and Succession Planning.
Priority 8: To improve parental engagement and form stronger working partnerships between home and school.
Ofsted December 2014: 'What does the school need to do to improve further?
- Raise teaching and pupils' achievement to outstanding levels.
- Ensure pupils use their spelling skills in different subjects so that they have proficient spelling skills by the end of year 6.
- Strengthen communication with parents and carers of pupils in Years 1 to 6 so that they understand how to support their child's learning at home.
